Professional Background

Vanessa Staton received a Bachelors Degree with Honors, majoring in Psychology from Appalachian State University, Boone , NC in 1976. She completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, also from Applachian State University in 1979. She was a staff psychologist for Foothills Mental Health Center in Marion, NC as well as Chesterfield Mental Health Center in Richmond, Virginia before associating with Dr. Robert Dupont and The Centers for Behavioral Medicine in both Richmond, VA and Charlotte, NC. In 1988 Ms. Staton established and has since maintained a full time private practice in Charlotte, NC
